Walnut

We typically use English or American Black Walnut.

As found on 17th & 18th century furniture ‘tops’ & ‘fronts’ of cabinets crafted from Burr & Curl veneers are still used by ourselves to create an outstanding look on today's furniture.

Also, available are ‘oysters’ a type of veneer which is cut across the branch of the tree to create a circular pattern ideal for a chest of drawers or table.

The colour of walnut in its raw state being a dark almost black colour. The timbers & veneer can be bleached to create an even colour then stained and French polished to bring the furniture to a honey/toffee colour as traditionally found on walnut furniture.
